Split-Phase Current Transformers

Split-phase current transformers are a specialized electrical device used in electrical power systems for differential protection. This CT consists of two separate windings or coils, each designed to receive the current from one phase of the system. The currents are then compared and any significant difference indicating a potential fault, such as a ground fault, short circuit, or performance loss can be detected and acted upon.
